Ass no more!

Some time ago I was told the story that with people you had to use the carrot + stick tactic, basically it’s something like people, just like a donkey, needs a carrot (something that motivates and keeps it happy) and a stick (something that it is afraid of, that reminds it of the commitment), to keep walking, advancing, functioning… working… I don’t know, I just listened…

At that moment I was angry with the part of the story about the stick… I mean, if I keep moving, advancing, carrying my load… why the hell do they have to prescribe me a stick? But well… I told myself some savannah monkey things :P

Until one day I was surprised using the same metaphor and I said to myself, how am I going to survive with just the stick? a donkey needs a carrot! you can’t keep going if they always tell you that you’re wrong and when you do something right there’s no carrot… and that’s when I stopped being a donkey…

I realized that even worse than the stick can be the blessed carrot, it can be more the desire for the carrot than the fear of the stick…

The problem is that sometimes the carrot is held by a tyrant, who will never give it to you… because he doesn’t feel like it… because he’s blind and can’t see the good donkey he has… because he eats them in soup… because he’s afraid the roles will be reversed…

So from now on, no more burdens from others… the tyrant can take his carrots and put them wherever he wants or give them to other donkeys… me, a donkey… Never again!
